This is one from my first experimental shots of our moon using my Nikon P900... handheld with no tripod! My friend has the same camera and framed an incredible moonrise shot with trees that I'll add here once he forwards it to me. This camera is mind blowing. Still learning it.

I'm too shaky to take that freehand.
This isn't very good but I didn't have a remote shutter release then. I do now but haven't used it. This is Jupiter and 3 of it's moons. I was surprised when I took it because I didn't see the moons until the next day when I was looking at it with the computer. Leonard |

Nice Pics,
Dang it! I didn't think I needed a new camera. I also did not think I was missing out.... turns out I am. Nice pics. And you say those are free hand??? How does it do with Macro? Lately I've been doing a lot of Macro work and was completely satisfied with my $300 camera.... Until now~ Signed .... A Jealous Woody~ " yeah I know... I have not shot in macro mode yet but the examples I saw prior to buying it were pretty stunning. The lens retracts to 24mm so it would make sense. I'll try it on some insects and flora next time I'm out with it. My primary reasoning was for long range wildlife photography and spotting. It's going to be perfect for that. The image stabilization is extremely good. I know that I was nowhere near completely still during that moon shot. I was trying to squeeze the button while exhaling slowly... just like shootin a rifle. Was hard to keep the moon in the frame.
